What is conversion rate optimisation?

Conversion rate optimisation (CRO) is the practice of increasing the percentage of website visitors who take a desired action, such as making an enquiry, booking a call, or buying. We use research, testing, and design improvements to lift that rate without needing more traffic.

How is CRO different from SEO?
